 Pear Butter Recipe:

   1) 1/2 cup of Orange Juice

   2) Sliced Pears, then blended with ingredients (1 pint Jar)

   3) 1.5 teaspoon of nutmeg

   4) 1.5 cups of Organic Sugar

original recipe calls for

4 cups of white sugar.

French Dressing Recipe:


Makes 1 qt.

 1 cup Ketchup

 1 cup Canola oil

 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup Organic Sugar

 1 med. onion cut-up in quarters

 Add ingredients to a blender, blend to onion has been pulverized and put

 in quart size jar or glass container.  Lasts up to 1.5 weeks, you can cut

 all ingredients in half if you don't need that much.

 Mom's famous Potato Salad Recipe:


Ever had too many eggs ?

Try some potato salad !


8 - medium potatoes:  We use Yukon Gold for a more natural buttery taste without the additives.

8-10 eggs (Large)

1- Green Pepper

1- Small Onion (Minced)

1/4 tsp of Garlic powder

Salt & Fresh ground pepper to taste.

Hellman's real mayonnaise only - 12 oz jar.  Add as needed.

Night before: Cook Potatoes in boiling water or microwave & cook eggs to hard boiled.

Chill potatoes & peel eggs (put into plastic bag).  

Next day: Peel potatoes, dice eggs w/slicer, chop green pepper, onion (minced)

Put in XL bowl to mix together

Add Garlic powder (to taste) & salt/pepper (to taste).

Add Mayonnaise so it's very moist but not liquid consistency. 

A bit of paprika is sprinkled on top for decor.

Don't take mayo out of refrigerator until ready to use.....Yummy !!!

 Yummy Granola Bars made fresh from your kitchen.  Recipe below.......

 Ingredients:

1/2 cup honey or corn syrup (Honey used here)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup peanut butter

2 cups quick oats

2 cups rice crispy cereal (Puffed Brown rice Cereal used)

1/4 cup ground flax seed

1 or 2 T wheat germ

1 cup of your favorite mix-ins (Dark Chocolate chips, seeds, dried fruits, nuts used here)

Makes about 24 bars


Directions:

In a small sauce pan, mix honey/corn syrup and brown sugar.

Cook over medium-high heat until sugar is completely dissolved - stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and quickly stir in peanut butter.

Mix the oats, cereal, flax seed and optional wheat germ in a large bowl.

Pour honey mixture over dry ingredients - mix well.

Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, fruits, and any other "mix-in" you would like to use.

Press mixture into a 9" x 13" pan that has been greased or lined with wax paper.

Let cool and "Firm Up" - kind of like rice crispy bars.

Cut into bars and store in air-tight container.
